After we returned from Berlin, I’d just thought “that couldn’t be over now”. I still had that street photographeeling in me. So I asked Sandrine if she like to take a short trip to Venice. So we went to Venice. And Venice was awesome.
We decided to take the train (no nerves for annoying check-ins at the airports). So we had a stop in Milano.
In the train from Milano Centrale to Venice.
This was a tricky one, he was not amused to see my camera, so I made a turn and this was, unfortunately, the best situation. But wait!
There was a political debate this day.
We wanted to make just a “quick n’ dirty n’ cheap” trip to the isle, means two and a half days. To save money, I’d booked a hotel in Mestre, one station before Venezia Santa Lucia. Believe me, do yourself a favour, spend some extra money and book a hotel on the isle itself. In Mestre you will see that italy has ran out of money. It’s really sad. Or if you want to help a community, book as we did. But don’t expect too much.
Who want’s to steal a coffeemachine as big like this one?
Please pose! Piazza San Marco, 9 bugs for a coffee.
On the way to Murano, the isle of the legendary glasmakers.
Unfortunately, there was “just” a show for the tourits. But it was impressive though. Chapeau for this
Lido di Venezia, a place to be after a workers life.
Remember me a bit on the work of Martin Parr. It looks like in the 80’s. Could be a Magnum shot :-)
We watched them for while and were impressed by the precision with they stear their gondolas.
Take a closer look in mirrors.
Almost the shot I was looking for.
Why do people close their eyes always in the wrong moment?
A paradigms change. Everyone was taking pictures with a tablet or smartphone. People looked at me like they never saw a Rolleiflex before.
